Insulating Glass Structure

on .

Insulating glass structure is made up of two or more layers of flat glass. All around the glass use high strength and high air tightness composite binder. Before sealing, dry gas (argon gas) is filled inside.  Aluminum spacer will be filled with desiccant. These two methods will ensure that the air between the glass is dry.

Glass may be selected according to the requirements of various properties, such as clear float glass, embossed glass heat absorbing glass, heat reflective glass, laminated glass and tempered glass. Insulating glass can you the original glass thickness 3mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 12mm and son on. Air layer thickness can use 6mm, 9mm, and 12mm spacer. In the spacer use some desiccant.

To improve the performance people also use coated glass or Low-e glass as the original glass. This can make the insulation effect more better.

Inside insulating glass have desiccant. These desiccant can absorb water molecules. So the air inside is dry. When the temperature become lower. The inside of the insulating glass will not produce condensation phenomenon. At same time, the outer surface of the glass dew point will rise. For example, the outside wind speed is 5m/s, indoor temperature 20 degree, and the relative humidity is 60%. For 5mm glass, while outside temperature is 8 degree it begin condensation. But for 16mm (5+6+5) insulating glass, at same condition it will dew after the outside temperature reach -2 degree. If for 27mm ( 5+6+5+6+5) three layer insulating glass  it will dew after the outside temperature reach -11 degree.
